MEDDA MAKE IT A CUP TREBLE by Jeff Holmes

FORMER Kilmarnock striker Emilio Jaconelli helped Irvine Meadow claim their third cup of the season.
The deadly hitman ensured Medda added the Ayrshire Cup to the Stagecoach Super Premier League title and the Ayrshire Sectional Cup.
It was a real clash of the titans at Cumnock's Townhead Park, with Auchinleck Talbot crowned Scottish Cup champions just seven days earlier.
It was Talbot's third cup final in successive weekends, but Meadow sprinted out the traps and Adam Strain - son of Medda boss Chris - had to look lively to deny Jaconelli in the opening moments.
But Irvine swept ahead in 16 minutes when former Renfrew ace Richie Barr headed home a Gareth Turner cross.
Gavin Collins was on hand to nod home a leveller, finding space in the area before getting on the end of Bryan Young's centre.
Meadow came out for the second-half fired up, and it was no surprise when Jaconelli put them in front on 51 minutes.
Ex-Ayr star Chris Robertson knocked on a Zander Ryan corner for deadly Jaconelli to prod home.
There were chances at either end after Meadow's second, but it was Strain's side who ran out deserved winners.

JAC THE LAD LANDS CUP by Mick Hydes

Emilio Jaconelli rattled in a second half glory goal as Meadow added the Ayrshire Cup to their trophy haul.
The Irvine side, who have already secured the West Super League title and the Ayrshire Sectional Cup, saw off the Scottish Cup winners in a clash of the game's big hitters.
Meadow started the sharper and after Bot keeper Adam Strain kept out efforts from Jaconelli and Chris Strain Jnr, the Talbot defence caved.
Gareth Turner tore down the right and swung in a cross for ex-Cumnock striker Richie Barr to nod home superbly in 16 minutes.
Bot battled back and grabbed an aqualiser against the run of play when Brian Young's free-kick was headed home by Gavin Collins.
Meadow looked fired up after the break and took the lead in 51 minutes. Zander Ryan delivered the corner and after a knock on from Chris Robertson, Jaconelli got the crucial touch.
Meadow boss Chris Strain senior said:"It was a team effort and the guys did well."
